“Like the 90s or Out of time” – is the ongoing project from 2024 year about places of my city that looks like nothing had been changed since it was in USSR as if the time had stopped. Alongside modern architecture and new stylish buildings (there are few of them, but even during the war, new houses continue to be built here), many courtyards retain signs of the old Soviet style: dovecotes, garages, benches, balconies, etc. All these architectural elements have neither stylization nor urban style and were built from whatever money was available. Yard decor is also a separate topic of taste for Soviet people. Due to the eternal shortage and the preservation of the extremely unnecessary, everything was kept and nothing could be thrown away. This is how works of art from rubber wheels and decorating entrances with parts of bench structures began to appear. (Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine)
